The back of this guitar is a piece of Honduran mahogany. The top, however, is very special! A hurricane came through the area several years ago and ripped a pecan tree out of the ground. It was one of about 28 trees on one particular owner’s land. So he ended up buying a portable sawmill and processing each tree into lumber. But by the time he’d gotten to this pecan tree it had been sitting on the ground for a long time and bacteria had been at work. The result is this beautiful spalting lines that run all through this top. The body was then given the leather dye treatment and finished with a hand rubbed oil. This guitar is ready to accept a piezo bridge via the access panel on the rear. Fender licensed neck is maple with maple fretboard. Wilkinson hardware, Bootstrap ” Pretzel” pickups and a hand rubbed oil finish.
